SCRIPT

[Setting: bedroom, 6am. LAUREN wakes up.]

[Setting: bedroom, 6:20am. LAUREN finds a piece of scrap paper and writes down: 3 verbs, 1 verb ending in "ing", 1 adverb, 4 nouns, 4 adjectives, 1 unit of distance & 1 direction. She takes the scrap, puts it in an envelope. Addresses it to "Kyle Lawson, 2743 Timberwyck, Troy, Mi 48098". Puts a stamp on it. Writes her return address and remembers to mail it to him later in the day.]

[LAUREN goes running, feeling excited about today.]

[Setting: bedroom, morning. LAUREN decides on a vacation theme of the month and decorates her room accordingly.]

[LAUREN drinks grapefruit juice or some other kind of fruit juice.]

[LAUREN goes to the fabric store and buys several different kinds of foam and pillow material. She rolls around on the linens and woollens.]

[Setting: Hammer Museum, 11am.] [LAUREN meets with SARA and RENNIE regarding mapping workshop later this month.]

[Setting: Hammer Museum, 12:30pm. LAUREN decides since she's at the Hammer anyway for the meeting with SARA and RENNIE, now would be the right time to check out the guided mindfulness lecture/meditation. http://hammer.ucla.edu/programs/detail/program_id/407.

She also participates in the Subtle Bodies series, which invites visitors to the Hammer to: "try to disappear, or turn invisible - without actually leaving. do whatever it takes."]

[1:30pm LAUREN calls (951) 837-0030 and wishs Maria a Happy Birthday]

[Setting: Franz Hall, 1:55pm. LAUREN arrives early to metacognition class.]

[Setting: grad studio, 3:40pm. LAUREN returns from class.]

[LAUREN buys some iced coffee and enjoys it, all the while remembering back to her undergrad days a few years ago when she made herself drink iced coffee so that she could start liking coffee.]

[Setting: MARS library, 5pm. LAUREN attends studio meeting.]

[Setting: living room, 5:05pm. LAUREN smashes the state, and inadvertently the oligarchy.]

[Setting: 5:30ish. LAUREN draws a self-portrait. It does not have to be current. Or fancy.]

[Setting: Broad Art Center 6ish Lauren slips out of class to watch the Josiah Mcelheny lecture. LAUREN sees DANNY there and remembers back to the time she'd hang out working in the ceramics room, thinking about how she was going to college to study to become an engineer and how cool it was that he was going to Art School.]

[Setting: bedroom, any time past 8:00pm. LAUREN lights frankincense, spends 10 minutes meditating. After meditating, Lauren picks up where she left off in "Confessions of an Economic Hitman". She falls asleep, book in hand, and dreams of learning to breathe under water, and awakens the next morn excited to teach her friends these new skills.]
