Thinking about the idea of surveillance and exposure while using the complex machinery in the gym, I wanted to explore the possibility of relating to the video camera, a tool of surveillance, in a more intimate or physical way.
Expanding on Gym Machine 1, I placed a camera behind the pull-up bar while track and field athletes did their daily lifting routine.
A series of four of these videos were played on the large televisions monitors in the Zesiger Athletic Center.
