I recently graduated from MIT with degrees in computer science and art and design. I am currently working at Small Design Firm in Cambridge, MA.

My background in computer science has taught me to think analytically and logically. It has given me a variety of tools to break apart and redefine problems in pursuit of successful solutions.

Studying visual arts has introduced me to a more creative way of thinking. Instead of being presented with specific problems to solve, I have learned to ask my own questions, challenge values and beliefs, and explore ideas. I am excited by the potential for direct intervention and change that art and design seem to provide in a way no other field does.

My range of experience has made me comfortable working with people of different backgrounds, using a variety of mediums and tools. I believe that the best solutions come from an in-depth understanding of the problem. To achieve this, I love to get my hands dirty and completely immerse myself in projects.

As the role of technology continues to expand and the world becomes more connected, the way we live and interact has to be continuously rethought. I think that designers and artists are in a unique position to lead in this time of rapid change.

I am interested in people, and the way that their environments shape their interactions. I hope to create experiences and objects that can both communicate and inspire ideas. I prefer to make things that fit elegantly into daily life, rather than stand out as obviously designed experiences. I think this subtlety engages people in a way that is not possible within the context of a gallery or exhibit.

I have limitless energy for projects that excite and inspire me. Collaboration and the exchange of ideas are important to me. I am constantly in search of challenge and the opportunity to learn something new.
